Cedarwood Oil

Latin name : Cedrus atlantica



Cedarwood Oil  light amber in colour with a soothing, woody aroma having sweet notes of chocolate / caramel and is steam distilled from the cedarwood trees, a member of the Pinaceae (conifer) family. The Cedarwood Oil used by aromasus is sourced in Morocco.


Cedarwood oil use has been traced back to ancient times being found in Egyptian tombs and has been mentioned in the Bible. Used in the perfume industry as a fixative and has traditionally been used in the East to help treat urinary tract infections & bronchial infections.

Rosemary

Latin name ; Rosmarinus officinalis.

Rosemary is a clean, sharpy essential oil with a herby, minty & slightly woody under tone as characteristic of the fresh herb and is steam distilled from the flowering tips of the herb.

Rosemary is a member of the Lamiaceae family, it is a bushy shrub growing up to two metres in height, with long, silvery green needle shaped leaves. Small blue to mauve flowers appear in spring and summer. Rosemary is native to the Mediterranean region and is cultivated world wide.

Ylang Ylang

Latin name :Cananga odorata genuina


 Ylang Ylang is obtained by steam distillation from the flowers. Originating from Madagascar this sweet, exotic and deeply floral essential oil with its name meaning 'flower of flowers '. Part of the Annonaceae family (Magnolia). A tall fast growing tropical tree, growing up to 35 metres but usually kept at around 3 metres when grown as a commercial crop. It produces a long and penetrating taproot, and flowers from the second year.

Cinnamon Leaf Oil

Latin name - Cinnamomum zeylanicum

Cinnamon Leaf Oil originates from Sri Lanka and  is steam distilled from the leaves.

A clear to light amber oil providing a warm, spicy fragrance characteristic of fresh ground cinnamon and although widely used as a domestic spice Cinnamon Leaf Oil has traditionally been used in medicine and has many uses within Aromatherapy.

A lovely, warming oil which can be stimulating to the system, aid in relief of muscular aches and pains, aids digestion and encourages appetite.
