Susie Brattesani BA (hons)
Complementary healthcare - Clinical Aromatherapy

Susie began her career in the Beauty Industry leaving Telford college, Edinburgh with a C&G beauty therapy qualification. Over the years working from various salons and on a freelance basis she developed a love of working with and helping people from many walks of life. Through providing massage she developed a passion for working more holistically and began to seek out and take part in CPD workshops and training to further her qualifications & experience in massage and Indian head massage.

From here she  progressed to study and qualify with a BA (hons) in Complementary Healthcare specialising in Clinical Aromatherapy from Edinburgh Napier University.

Having a few health problems herself Susie searched for and tried many alternatives to aid in coping with and dealing with pre and post effects of surgery which have boosted both her health and belief in the benefits of Complementary healthcare.

She is passionate to promote the benefits & efficacy of Complementary Therapies within healthcare and her overall goal is to provide professional treatments using high quality products.

Promoting health & wellbeing through Complementary Therapy workshops, taster sessions, charity events & corporate events which are all professionally delivered in a friendly, fun & relaxed atmosphere is also very important to Susie. She feels very privileged to work alongside a fantastic team of Complementary healthcare professionals providing treatments / workshops for many wonderful people from many walks of life at various venues throughout Scotland.

Susie has over 20 years of massage experience and continually keeps up to date with CPD training, researching specific areas in the Complementary Therapy field and learning through experiences to accelerate development, further advancing her practice and treatments provided for each individual client.

Susie is a registered member with the Complementary Therapists Association (CThA) a leading professional 'self' regulatory body representing Complementary Therapists in the UK and Ireland. Susie has also undertaken First Aid Training (including Complementary therapy specific) and holds a current First Aid Certificate.

Susie understands some peoples concerns regarding 'trying' Complementary Therapies for the first time and asks anyone feeling this way to contact her to discuss this further. She actively promotes her wishes for Complementary Therapies to work alongside Orthodox medicine to provide each individual the very best treatment to aid their recovery from ailments / illness and maintain health and wellbeing. Susies level of studies and experience allows her to realise when to refer clients on to other healthcare professionals and liases with a number of CAM therapists, pharmacists, nursing practitioners and doctors to ensure optimum care is provided.

Emma studied Reflexology at Edinburgh Napier University, and her qualifications include a BA in Complementary Healthcare specialising in Reflexology and an HND in Sports Therapy.

She has been practising Massage therapy and Reflexology for over five years and regularly works with charities and other Complementary therapy colleagues.

Emma has been working full time in Edinburgh since late 2010, and has already built up a strong client base in the city.  She firmly believes in the benefits and efficacy of Massage and other Complementary therapies, and is committed to bringing these benefits into as many people’s lives as possible.

Our holistic approach

Our holistic approach closely adheres to the principle of  professional holistic therapies taking into account the 'whole' person and not only their presenting symptoms.

Often people experience physical symptoms such as skin complaints, headaches & digestion  problems which may be the result of imbalances due to factors such as stress, anxiety and emotional problems. Our aim is not just treating the symptoms but trying to address the underlying cause and focusing in the longer term to maintain optimum physical & emotional health and an overall improved sense of well-being.
